When life hands you limes...

...make margaritas! Just kidding! The baby size update for this week, though is a lime, or roughly two inches! Lots of other cool things developmentally, but I won't bore you with those details. Here is a visual of Baby Caswell's current size:

(Thanks for the picture, Babycenter)

On another note, Clay made fun of me when I got emotional when Blaine (I think...) got to go home to see his baby born. I tried to blame it on pregnancy hormones, but I'll be honest and admit that I probably would have teared up without the extra hormones!

That is all I have for tonight...have a good one!

Excuse the no make up....and dorkiness!

When I was grocery shopping yesterday, one of the items on my list was spaghetti sauce.  (We are making baked ziti tonight...YUM!)  Anyway, I usually shop the sale items, and I was excited to see that "Prego" brand was on sale!  (c:  So, yes, the dork I am had to buy it not only because it was on sale, but because it's name describes me.  Yeah...I am a dork, I know.

(Oh, and sorry for the lack of make up...putting it on is one of the things that doesn't happen as much when I work from home!)

Anyway, not too much to report.  My parents are in Belize this week, and I am a tad on the jealous side.  Tonight is the first Jerry Jeff concert.  They have also gone to eat at several of our favorite places and my dad went diving this morning.  Can you see why I am jealous?

Tomorrow is hump day...and the 12 week marker!  Stay tuned for baby size update.

Happy Hour

Hubby and I went to Happy Hour last night with some people he works with. It was great to get out of the house after a long week of working...even if HH isn't quite the same without a margarita or something in hand! (c: I had a really nice time, though, getting to meet some people who I had heard Clay talk about from work. It is always nice to put faces with names! I enjoyed talking to some of the girls from the department, and I even have a date already for the Martini Bar this fall. Nothing like planning ahead! (c:

Since we were there during the dinner hour and I am not one to skip a meal these days (or even pre-preggo for that matter), I ordered a sandwich, It was quite yummy. I know we had a big group, but I do have one minor comment about the service. In the several hours we were sitting there, the waitress never once offered to refill my (non-alcoholic) beverage. I finally flagged her down and asked for one!

I was going to leave you with some pictures of our freak snow storm this week, but my computer isn't cooperating right now.

The size of a Fig...

Well, today, I am 11 weeks.  According to BabyCenter, our little one is the size of a Fig...just over 1 1/2 inches.

I don't really have a belly yet, although I feel like my tummy is getting a little thicker.  My jeans still fit, but since I work at home, I am usually in sweatpants.  I'll probably try to get dressed one weekend and be surprised when I can't button my pants!  Haha...Oh, I saw this online, and I am very tempted to get it:  The Boppy Total Body Pillow.

Thanks to DVR, I get to watch the Biggest Loser tonight.  It is much better when I can FF through the commercials.  Plus, I get to watch the First 48 on Tuesday nights.  (Yeah, I am a dork.)

Experiencing Greenville

I haven't posted too much about our new town, so I thought I would share about a few recent Greenville experiences.  First of all, B's BBQ restaurant.  Just for a little background, one of the things I missed most about Texas when we were in Morgantown was BBQ.  It is sad that Texas Roadhouse and Damon's Grille (both chains) have been the recent winners of the Rib Fest in Morgantown.  That just demonstrates the lack of BBQ there.  Anyway, back to Greenville.  When Clay visited ECU the first time, they told him about this place called B's and how good their BBQ is.  When ECU and WVU played in football this year, they did a special in B's throughout the game.  Basically, they cook a limited number of pigs a day, and once they are out of food, they are closed.  They open at 9, and we heard you should be there by 10 or 10:30 to make sure you get to eat.  (Thanks to this picture on Flickr, you can have a visual of this place.)  They also sell the ribs on a first come first serve basis.  For these, though, you have to get there way before they open to get your name on the list.  To give you an idea of how this works, my parents (who came to visit) went at 7:30 last Friday, and they were sold out.  They went earlier on Saturday (6:15-ish?) and they were 3rd on the list!  So, thanks to my dedicated parents, we got to experience B's ribs...and an experience they were....they were quite tasty, but I don't think we knew what we were in for!  Needless to say, Clay and I will have leftovers for quite some time...

This morning, we woke up to a little dusting of snow.  I have to admit, I kinda laughed when Clay told me the university was closed today.  Well, to my surprise, the snow continued throughout the day.  I think we ended up getting the 4-5 inches that were forecasted!  I am kinda regretting that we donated our snow shovel to whoever (eventually) buys our house in WV.  Oh well!

the doctor

Sorry for those of you who have already heard this story, but I like it, so I will share it. Thanks home pregnancy tests, we found out I was pregnant literally as we were moving. So, as the movers were unloading our house in NC, I was on the phone making an appointment with a new doctor here in town. So, not only were we in a new town, but my company was getting ready to change insurance companies, so I was trying to find someone on both policies. Well, I didn't have much of an option, and there was one. So, that is who I called. I ended up not getting an appointment until after the new year, so the whole insurance thing didn't really matter. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to google the doctor's name, just to make sure there was nothing scary or awful that came up. (I mean, this is kinda a big decision!) Well, I was super excited when the first little summary described my doctor as "a native Texan". I was already feeling better about my decision! After a little more reading, I found out the she is an Aggie.  Now I know I am definitely in good hands!

Big News and a New Look!

Well, as you may already know, the Caswell Family will be growing in August!  I finally got to go to the doctor today and I saw the "little peanut" as the nurse called him/her.  More details on the doctor visit later, as I am sleepy tonight and am gonna get ready for bed.  Anyway, I wanted to share the fun news!!!!

Home Improvement

When we bought our house, I knew that the one thing I wanted to change was the color of the entry way and dining room.  It was a light green, which just didn't match us.  So, I finally called and had someone come into paint it.  (We thought about doing it ourselves, but there is a lot of detail in the area, and I didn't think that would be a good way to paint for the first time!)  Anyway, I am very happy with how it turned out!  They did a great job, and for a great price.  Here are some before and after pics.

Before:

And after...the lighting isn't too good and doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea.

Here is a pic of Miss Aggie and her Daddy. She was such a good girl while the painters were here!

As a follow up to my earlier post about the rocking chairs, here are some pics.

In need of a make-over...

Some of you may beg to differ, but I wasn't talking about me in that title. I need to change my blog header, as I realize that the Christmas season is over, but to be completely honest, I have just been a little bit lazy. Maybe this weekend? We'll see.

As the college football season came to an end last night, I am a little relieved knowing that the Aggies can have a fresh start next year. However, I found this video, and it reminded me of the better days:

Ahh...good times. Have a wonderful weekend!!

We finally fit in...

There is a requirement if you live in NC and have a front porch: rocking chairs. Until today, our front porch had been looking a little bare! But, for Christmas, we received a pair of rocking chairs and they were delivered this week. While Clay put together my desk yesterday, I put together one of the chairs. I got all the way to the last step and need some help getting the rocker part on. Clay put the other one together today, so now our front porch looks like it belongs!

Other than that, I also got the above mentioned desk this weekend. Gotta love Craigslist. It is a nice u-shaped desk with a hutch and we also bought a matching cabinet and two book shelves. Thanks to my Hubby for putting it together for me! Now, I will have a little more space to work from home. (c: The room upstairs is so much nicer now that all the boxes are unpacked.

Tonight we are ending a nice relaxing weekend with a movie and Clay made k-bobs on the grill. They were yummy, but since he cooked dinner, I said I would clean up the kitchen, so I better go do that! Have a great week!
