25 weeks and Baby Sage!

Today we are at the 25 week mark. I didn't really think too much about that until the other day someone asked me how many weeks left rather than how far along I am...made me a little nervous to say 15 weeks left! Yikes! I have been bad about doing the size updates...Connor is rivals the average rutabaga in weight -- about 1 1/2 pounds. (Length: 13 1/2 inches, head to heel.) I have to be honest and say I don't really know what a rutabaga is, so here is the picture.

In other news, my dear friend, Keri, had her baby boy today. Welcome, Sage!! I can't wait to hear all about the little guy and see some pictures.

Happy Wednesday!

Time to catch up...

I got home last night from pretty much a week away. I have many things I should be doing, but I thought I would try to re-cap the last week on my blog, first. That sounds like more fun than laundry or cleaning. (c:

First, here is a picture from last Sunday before I left for my excursion!

The week started with heading to Puerto Rico for work. It was a nice few days, although it is hard sitting inside working when you know the beach is calling your name. I did get to wander down to the beach and even took some pictures of the beautiful water:

I ate way too much good food, but enjoyed every minute of it! I did order myself a kid's pina colada, but that just isn't the same. We actually learned that the pina colada was invented at the bar at the hotel we stayed at.

Thursday afternoon, I left PR and headed for Texas. Unfortunately, I had to fly through Charlotte, so it was a long evening of traveling. I did land in Houston 30 minutes early, which was nice. We didn't get out to Conroe until close to 1 am, though, after getting my bags and all that. Luckily I was able to sleep on my second flight. The guy behind me even commented how I didn't move at all during the flight!

Friday was my mom's 60th Birthday. We had a great time celebrating with her that evening, and thankfully the weather cooperated and the rain held off and it was a beautiful night outside. I am glad I was able to be there to help her celebrate. I took lots of pictures that evening, but with my dad's camera, so I will post some once he puts them online. She seemed to have a good time, though, and I am glad because she deserves it!! I love you, Mama!!

Saturday, some dear friends hosted a baby shower for me. I got to see lots of people, some of them who I hadn't seen in a couple years since I live so far away. I was overwhelmed with the kindness of everyone there. The decorations were super cute, the food was delicious and the company was excellent! I was excited that Clay's mom was able to join us from Waco. I think Sheffy wins the award for traveling the furthest, coming all the way from Canada. I was so happy to see everyone there, and I just wish I could go back and visit with them all again. The time flew by way too fast!!

The wonderful hostesses (minus Diane, who was headed to Cabo!)

Upon arriving home, I was greeted by my Hubby at the airport and Miss Aggie was waiting anxiously for me in the car! At home, Hubby had some pretty flowers waiting for me!

Ok - I have written way too much and posted more than enough pictures for one night! Have a good Monday night!

Yes, that title describes ME! I haven't been good about providing the baby size updates. I don't know...I think they might not be as exciting as I first thought. So, I will keep it short and tell you that little Connor is the size of a large mango: ~11 inches and just over a pound.

(Wow...that just posted way before I was done - sorry! I deleted and started over...)

Anyway, back in action...I am glad tomorrow is Friday. This week has been busy and good, but I am ready for the weekend. A regular week after a short weeks always seems so long. I know this weekend will fly by, though, because Monday starts my 4 weeks of a whirlwind of traveling and visitors: Puerto Rico, Houston, Clay's parents here, Brad here, Morgantown! Yikes! I am looking forward to it all, but I know I will be exhausted by mid-May!

Well, I am sleepy and don't really have too much to talk about, so I am going to call it a night. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!

Happy Birthday, Keri!

I have another Birthday shout out...Happy Birthday to Keri! Keri and I have known each other for as long as I can remember. We have been through many fun times together, and I will truly treasure her friendship always. Now, even though we don't live close, we are getting to experience pregnancy together - she is due in May! That being said, she is co-hosting a baby shower for me at her house at the end of April. That's a special (and brave!!) friend! Happy Birthday, Keri, and I can't wait to see ya soon!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter, and I hope you did, too. We started the morning with Church, and on the way out of Church, we saw a car in the parking lot with a couple of A&M stickers on it. So, we are looking forward to trying to figure out who these people are so we can have more Aggie friends! This afternoon, we had some friends over for some yummy venison. I know, not your typical Easter lunch/dinner, but we sure enjoyed it. Of course, we had bunny cake and a bite of peanut butter eggs from Morgantown. (Thanks, Holly!!) We spent the afternoon hanging out in the backyard enjoying the great spring weather. Now we have fully bellies and one tired puppy! Speaking of bellies, here is a picture of me before we went to the baseball game yesterday.

Here are some pictures of my Easter Lillies from my hubby...

Finally, for Easter, we sent our parents a card from our little one with a puzzle which had his name on it...check it out!

Have a great week!

HI! I don't have too much to talk about - I have enjoyed having a Friday off, though. We have been taking advantage of the wonderful spring weather (minus the pollen!!). Aggie has figured out her spot on the back porch and loves to hang out with us out there now. I also made a couple of bunny cakes as usual. (My eyes look really little in this picture!!) Hubby took a picture of me with one before I took it over to our neighbors this morning. He was also so kinda to take a picture of my belly and the cake. (c: I'll take a belly picture tomorrow before we go to the ECU baseball game. (They are playing Rice!!)

Happy Birthday, Kelly!

Due to a lovely spring thunderstorm, Aggie and I are foregoing our usual lunch time jog and staying indoors today. That leaves me with a couple of options how to spend my lunch break: doing dishes, watching TV or blogging a Birthday message for Kelly! I'll probably still end up doing the other two things, too, but I first wanted to ask all of you to go wish Kelly a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Or, if you are shy and don't want to actually leave her a note, you can at least check out her blog of her super cute family. Kelly is one of the sweetest, funniest and just darn cutest people I know, and I am lucky to have her as a friend!!

Well, in other news, unlike today's weather, this weekend was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! We spent quite a bit of time outside - we went to the farmer's market Saturday morning, fishing Saturday during the day, and went to Sears to buy our first lawn mower. (The first place we went to was Lowes, but that is a whole other story I won't bore you with!) Sunday after church we went back to Lowes and got some stuff to plant a garden and new flowers out front. I just hope all our work planting this weekend isn't washed away by today's monsoon. The rain has stopped for the time being, so I think I will walk outside and see if I can assess any garden damage. Have a lovely afternoon and HOORAY for a short work week! more HAPPY BIRTHDAY to K(B)G!

I'm growing!!

We went bowling tonight, and before we left I had Clay take this week's belly picture. Looking at these, I feel like I have grown a lot this week. Part of it may be the shirt, but I think there is a definite difference in the belly this week vs. last week!

Bowling was fun, but I noticed something very random...they sell Ramen Noodles in the vending machine at the bowling alley. Ok, I can see that in a dorm or something like that, but how many packages of of ramen noodles to they really sell at the bowling alley??

Tomorrow I plan on spending some time outside because the weather is great right now! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Baby Kicks

This week we hit the 21 week mark. I cannot believe how fast time flies! Our little one is is the length of a carrot (10 1/2 inches) and about 3/4 of a pound. But, the more exciting thing is that I have been feeling him kick for a little while now. I remember sitting on the couch feeling it for the first time, and I kinda brushed it off thinking I had to be imagining it. Now that I feel it more often, though, I know that it was a kick I felt then! Oh, and he seems to get a certain joy out of kicking my bladder. That will be super fun if he keeps that up while he grows!

Not too much else going on. We watched the end of ER last night...crazy that the show has been on so long. I was in and out of it over the past several years. I read yesterday that the storyline of the teenage girl with alcohol poisoning was based on one of the Producer's niece who recently died from alcohol poisoning. Very sad.

Well, it's that time to head upstairs for work. Happy Friday to all!
