Once again...

Another due date has come and gone with nothing other than a big ole' belly to show for it!  If nothing happens on this cold Halloween, we'll be heading in tomorrow for a scheduled induction.  At least this time we don't have to wait ten days after our due date!

We celebrated by church in the morning and trunk or treating in the afternoon.  I made two new best friends when we were picking Connor up from Sunday School.  They asked when the baby was due and I said "today" and they were both shocked, saying they thought I had at least another month or month and a half.  Thank you, sweet ladies...you sure know how to make a preggo feel good!  In the afternoon, we headed to trunk or treat at the church.  Connor was Robin, but would not wear his cape, so his costume was kinda lacking.  Levi and I were a pumpkin farmer...

Me and our littlest punkin'!

I love how they interact these days!

So, they are giving me candy just for saying trick or treat?!

Connor and one of his little girlfriends, Harper!

My other Halloween Outfit...I made it for his fall party at school and wore it several times since!
Totally out of focus, but here's a 40 week pic!

Well, tomorrow is the big day...harvest day as my friend called it.  Can't wait to meet our newest little guy!!

You want what?

The other night, Connor was helping me get dinner ready.  I was getting stuff out and he tells me he wants the "pentagon bowl."  I could not figure out what he wanted, so I asked him to tell me again what he wanted.  Again, he said "the pentagon bowl" in a very matter of fact kind of way.  I opened the cabinet and realized what he was wanting...we have some bowls that are painted like soccer balls...with black pentagons on them! Seriously?!  I picked one up and he beamed!

And just a quick video of some bath time singing!

39 week belly

And here is my belly at 39 weeks with little Levi!  I don't think I mentioned it here - the midwife I saw last week thinks he'll be smaller than Connor was.  She estimated he was 6.5 - 7.0 lbs as of last week.  That's tiny compared to my almost 9 lb first baby!  She did say since I am tall, I could be "hiding a lot of baby" in there.  We'll see....!

already!?

I can't believe we are already at 39 weeks...that's all for now!  I did take a picture of my growing belly this weekend, but I have a brown dog sprawled across my lap, so I am not about to get up and go get my camera.  Guess you'll just have to wait one more day...haha!

If Levi is stubborn like his brother and isn't here before 11/1, we have an induction appointment ready to go!  Crazy to know that 11/1 (hopefully) or sooner will be his birthday!!  I say hopefully because I was induced with Connor and it took 24 hours...so, no promises, but I hear #2 goes faster?!  Here's to hoping!

MIA

Blogging has sadly take a back seat lately because I have been busy, busy, busy!!  Here is a recap of the month of October so far, not necessarily in chronological order!

-Levi's due date month has arrived!  Already!?!  Still not convinced we'll have an October baby, but he might surprise me!  Connor has loved rediscovering all his old toys...

-We have celebrated two birthdays:  Clay turned 29 on the 9th and I turned the big three-zero on the 12th.  I enjoyed the couple of days of being the same age as my hubby.  Oh, and by "celebrated" I mean we went out to dinner.  Connor skipped his nap on Clay's birthday, so he fell asleep waiting for the meal!  He managed to stay awake for my birthday dinner, though!

-We went to the Fall Festival at a church we drive by almost every day (but don't attend...is that wrong to go?!) and they had BLUE BELL ice cream.  Now, you folks who still live in Texas don't realize how exciting this is.  You see, when you get far enough away from the great state, there are some things that you realize you took for granted are not available!  (Whataburger, good Mexican and BBQ, and Blue Bell ice cream to name a few!)  While they were scooping the ice cream, I asked the guy if he was just teasing me with the cup or if it really was in fact Blue Bell.  He told me it was the real thing - his brother owns an ice cream shop on the beach a couple of hours away, and he orders it special.  Made.my.day!  Connor also got his face painted and got a balloon.  The balloon lasted about 1.5 minutes before he let go.  He thought it was funny at first, but then got mildly upset when he asked me to get it and I said I couldn't.  Thankfully he didn't get too upset!

Heavenly!

This picture makes me just wanna say "ahhhhh!!!"

He looks really grown up here to me!

Coloring after the festival...

Concentrating hard!

-After a week of on and off fevers, I finally took Connor to the dr. to confirm he had an ear infection.  He also had to get a breathing treatment because he was wheezing.  Thankfully, that helped immediately and we got a super Rx to help kick the ear infection to the curb.  (He had several back to back ear infections last Nov-Jan...we think it was the same one that never fully went away, so they gave us a strong antibiotic from the beginning this time!)

My sick and pitiful buddy.  This was a rough evening...thank you for good antibiotics!

Breathing treatment went a little better this time...he was proud of his "special mask"!
-We have been doing lots of cooking preparing for company to be here after Levi arrives.  Since we'll be having company most of the month of November, we want to make sure to have plenty of food prepared in advance so that dinners can be easy!

I am sure there are many other things, but that is all I can think of for now.  The rest of my time is spent wondering about lots of things...how Connor will adjust to being a big brother and what little Levi will be like?  Will Connor embrace his new role, or will he be jealous to have to share mama?  How will I react if it is the latter?  Will Levi look like his brother and daddy or more like mommy?  Will he be an easy baby or what surprises do we have in store for us?  When will he arrive?  Will I remember what to do with a newborn?  There are many more questions floating through my head every single day!!  I know we will have our struggles, but we will get through them!

I'll leave you with one more of our the soon to be big brother...

Punkin' Patch

First of all...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet Hubby!

We went to the pumpkin patch by our house today to pick out a couple of pumpkins!  Connor didn't want to sit still or look at the camera, so most pics I took were of a cute little guy NOT looking at the camera.  Oh well...I still thought this one was cute...
