Splish Splash!

Connor insisted on being in Levi's tub with him tonight.  Tight squeeze, but it worked and they had fun!  Connor loves making his brother smile.  So sweet...I love watching them interact.

Yup.

Yup...we are still here.  I just have been super busy between the boys and work, and blogging has taken a back burner.  I don't want it to be that way, as this is sort of my journal for family memories!

Levi and I recently took a trip to Morgantown, just the two of us!  It was a nice change of pace traveling with a little one who wasn't mobile!  Haha..then again, I could have done without the "code brown" on the plane ride up there.  (By the way...am I the only one that assumed planes had changing tables in them?  As many times we have flown, I have only had to change a diaper 2-3 times, and all of those had changing tables.  Not this time.  I had fun changing Levi's diaper in my lap while sitting on the closed toilet!)  It was a crazy couple of days in Morgantown.  Levi stayed with my friend's aunt, and we stayed with our friends for two nights.  Almost everyone we were around for any length of time ended up with a stomach flu.  I was scared to death that we would get it while traveling home, but somehow we were spared.

This weekend, we went to Raleigh to watch the Women's A&M Basketball team.  Connor loves cheering for the Aggies and was so excited to see the girls.  I thought we were going to have issues because he wanted to go down to the court, but thankfully he was OK with it when I told him we had to stay in our seats.  He was jumping up and down cheering and really got into the game!  It was fun, but he got tired quickly since it was naptime.  When the Aggie Dance Team came out, they were wearing these little tube top things, and Connor declared, "Look!  They are wearing bandaids!"  Niiiice.  (We have some maroon Aggie bandaids, and their tops did resemble them!)

I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of the boys.  We have been enjoying our evenings in the backyard...it has been beautiful!

Pinterest made me do it

I thought I'd share some of the things I have found on Pinterest and done and loved!

Buffalo chicken in the crock pot...we LOVE this.  It makes delicious sandwiches, pizza, salad topping, quesadillas, and so much more.  And it makes a lot!

The blog title is right...this really is quick and easy (and yummy) salsa.  I even stuck some in my mini crockpot and served it warm.

When you are in the mood for better than the typical velveeta and rotel queso.  This one took a trip to a special store to find the cheese, but it was worth it!

These are rich, but delicious.  I doubted the chocolate topping when reading this, but it's perfect.  (I don't like it alone, but finishes this perfectly!)

Also another delicious sweet...

More yumminess...cake mix, sprinkle and white chocolate chips...you cannot do wrong!

Chocolate chip cookie, peanut butter and carmel...these are time consuming, but oh so worth it!

Fun science experiment in making a Naked Egg.  I think I enjoyed this the most in our family...

I am sure there are others, but these are the things that stick out in my head right now!  What have been your favorite finds on Pinterest?  Any flops?

Four months!!

February is a short month, which is my excuse as to why this month went by so fast!  (Even if it was longer than it usually is..ha!)

Another good month, though!  Levi is such a fun little kiddo.  He is super ticklish and he a wonderful smile and laugh!  He is strong, too!  In bullet format, here are some things to remember about our little man this past month:

-He has discovered is voice...he loves to make noises now!
-Drooling machine.  His hands and toys are constantly in his mouth.  He hasn't discovered his little piggies yet!  Not too much
-Working on rolling from back to belly and is doing good with tummy time.  He has also started getting himself turned around in his bed, so I took his bumpers off.
-Sleeping well at night.  He goes to bed 7-7:30 and wakes up 6:30-7:30, usually getting up once to eat.  We have had a handful of "all nighters", but nothing permanent yet.  Mama sure enjoyed those straight 12 hours when I got them, though!  (c:  He usually falls asleep while nursing, but we are working on that.  The couple of times I have been able to keep him up, he has fallen asleep on his own well.
-Naps are, well, still a bit of a struggle.  I don't know if he gets overtired or just likes to fight them, but nap time usually involves tears.  And he has some LUNGS!  Of course he'd nap on me if I let him, but obviously that can't happen.  Hopefully we'll get that worked out soon.  He starts his new daycare on Monday, so I am hoping getting settled into that routine will help.
-Levi has his first cold this month, too.  It was sad.  I hate seeing my boys sick.
-He loves his exersaucer, bumbo, bouncy seat and activity mat.  We don't use the swing too often.  Oh and he LOVES bath time.
-He eats about 6 times a day/night:  7:30, 10:30, 1:30, 4:30, 7:00 and sometime in the wee morning hours.  He is wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes, but some of his sleepers are getting too short.  He is wearing 2's and 3's in diapers.
-Dr. Stats:  15 lbs 10 oz (62%) and 25 (54%) inches long.
