John 3:16

Connor's Sunday School class is working on memorizing John 3:16 for a special church service coming up.  Apparently, once a year, the children put on the service.  Each Sunday school class has a part.  I am excited...should be so stinkin' cute.  Connor has picked up their verse very quickly.  Here he was telling it to me when we were playing outside this afternoon:

Kitchen makeover!

Ok, remember the grapes in the kitchen?

We decided to go with a gray (with blue undertones) on the walls.  Well, it totally turned out a light blue, but I love it!  It's not like a little baby boy has a gray undertone, but I think it turned out great.  We also added a backsplash, which I think completes the look.  We also removed all the blinds. We will probably eventually replace them with something that retracts to a minimal header because I love the open feeling we have right now without the blinds!  Thankfully we don't have any close neighbors, so we don't feel like people are watching us at night!  Ha.

I had to include this one because it shows the color of the wall well, but also cracks me up that Aggie is covered in yogurt.  BFFs.

First Haircut!

I realized I never posted about Levi's first haircut! He got it last month the day before I left for New York, which is why I never posted!  (Sidenote:  never get your child a haircut, especially their FIRST haircut the day before you leave town for a week!  I wasn't used to the new look before I left, so it made him look so different when I got home!)  Anyway, he was not a fan of being put in the chair by himself, so I held him. I was about to get my haircut so ignore the mess it is in the pictures below.  Once he got a lollipop, he was great.  Sticky, but fairly still.  (c:

Before....kinda hard to see, but it was getting shaggy and a little bit of a mullet in the back!

Signs of Spring

We have had several BEAUTIFUL days lately.  We have spent as much time outside as possible the past two weekends:

On the other hand, we did have a freak snowstorm on Thursday.  I went running at lunch, and it was supposed to rain that afternoon.  No biggie.  Well, Clay texted me just before 3 to see if it was snowing at home.  It was sleeting at that time, but within 5 minutes, the snow started.  Big flakes.  Coming down fast!  Around 4:30, daycare called and said they were asking parents to come get their kids.  I had no problems getting over there, but the trip home took about an hour and 15 minutes!  To go 8 miles. I should complain, though, because another mom from Connor's class told me it took her 2 hours to go three miles!!  Crazy!  This town is usually way ahead of the game when it comes to taking care of the roads, but I think this storm caught everyone off guard!!

The next day, it was 60, and all the snow melted by mid afternoon...the difference 24 hours can make:
