The News

Well, as I am sure most of you saw on Facebook, we are expecting Caswell #3.  I love love love how this picture turned out.  Their faces say it all.  Connor is super proud and thinking "I've got this big brother thing down" and Levi is looking at the sign in awe...he doesn't know what's about to hit him!  Haha.  I had no intention of taking the pic that afternoon, but I looked outside and saw the beautiful light and decided I needed to try to get a few clicks in.  This was the first click of the camera, so I am glad I forced nicely asked the boys to change and cleaned the M&M evidence off Levi's face.

Here are some answers to the FAQs:

When are you due?  End of April.  Based on my calculations (ok, really, Google's calculations), I thought my due date was April 29, 2014.  However, at the ultrasound today, she measured the peanut with a due date of April 23, 2014.  I don't actually see the Dr. until Wednesday, so we'll see what is established as the actual due date.  This makes me 8-9 weeks.

When did you find out?
We actually found out way earlier than we thought we would.  I got prepared by buying pregnancy tests on Amazon.  You see, if I knew they were less than $0.50 each, I wouldn't feel so bad testing you know, every day.  I was going out of town in August, so I took one on a whim before I left.  Poor Clay, I made him get out of bed before 6 am to see if I was really seeing the faintest of lines.  He agreed, although I was still nervous of a false positive being so early, etc.  ( my lack of ordering a margarita at dinner probably makes sense?!)  This was August 12...which was also Connor's due date.  I took multiple tests after that, with each one getting darker.

How did you tell your parents?
Connor told the grandparents on FaceTime that he was getting a new baby.  I kindly captured their reactions...

(I got my poor dad out of bed...he was sick!)

Is this a Germany baby?  (nosy much?  haha...jk)
No!  Yes, we have had several people ask or allude to this.  But, no, this is not the case...

Are you going to find out if it's a boy or girl?  Do you have a preference?
Yes, we will definitely find out.  No, we don't have a preference....just a healthy kiddo.  While a girl would be nice since we have two boys, that would also be way more painful on our checkbook! We are already pretty set for boy stuff!

What do the boys think?
Connor is excited about the baby "Martin".  Not sure why, but that is what he has named him/her.  He is very excited, about a baby, though.  He was really sweet telling Levi that we have a baby in Mommy's tummy and showing him the ultrasound picture.  He told me he could see her ear in this picture!  Yes, he said "her" and yes, he called her "Martin" in the same sentence.  Ha!

How are you feeling?
I am feeling pretty good.  A few minor complaints, but nothing like some of my friends have faced, so I won't complain.  (But, if anyone has suggestions how to get rid of a constant bad taste in your mouth, please let me know!!)

So, there is a reason I have been such a slacker lately...a slacker in blogging.  A slacker in doing laundry.  A slacker in picking up the house....the list goes on.  That reason is this:

Yes, I became addicted to Friday Night Lights.  I really don't watch that much TV, and there are probably 2 or 3 shows that I have ever really followed.  When I was at my parent's house in June, thought, I was looking through their DVDs and came across Seasons 1 & 2 (unopened) and started watching one evening before bed.  I quit watching so I could start over with Clay when I got home.  We went through those two seasons pretty quick and signed up for Netflix (I know...we are behind times!) so we could watch Seasons 3-5.  We hooked up the iPad to watch Netflix on our TV in our room, and Netflix certainly helped feed my addiction by streaming episode after episode with minimal effort by us!  Anyway, we finished Season 5 last night, so I will become a contributing member of society again.  (c:

Anyone else a fan of the show?
